Players can anticipate a comprehensive update featuring a new Battle Pass, an array of weapons, fresh modes and maps, as well as quality-of-life enhancements. Originally scheduled for March 20, the delay was announced to ensure an impactful rollout for both titles, although specific reasons for the change were not provided.
Black Ops Tribute Event Highlights
On March 27, Treyarch and Activision unveiled the roadmap for Season 3, including the details of the Black Ops Tribute Event set to run from April 17 through May 1. During this event, players can earn up to 17 different rewards. Highlights include:

- Close Shave Perk
- Thermite Lethal
- John Black Ops Operator Skin
These rewards celebrate the legacy of the Black Ops franchise, and the final reward, the John Black Ops skin, is particularly noteworthy, showcasing a sleek, all-black outfit reminiscent of the previous controversial Roze skin from Modern Warfare.

According to Activision, this event is a tribute to the Black Ops series, featuring rewards that honor its storied history. Earning XP in any game mode will allow players to unlock these exciting rewards. Additionally, while the event is accessible to Warzone players as well, those who own Black Ops 6 will have the opportunity to earn exclusive rewards that are not available in the free-to-play title.
