Assault rifles are the most adaptable weapons in Call of Duty. Regardless of if you’re shooting an enemy ten meters away or 150 meters away an assault rifle can get the job done. An AR’s ability to perform well in most situations is their greatest strength.
Interestingly, the Urzikstan era of Warzone has seen assault rifles slightly decline in popularity with several LMGs proving to be top-tier meta instead. The likes of the DG-58 LSW and Pumelyot 762 saw plenty of use throughout Season 1.
Despite this, there are still some standout assault rifles that are worth using and a few that are amongst the best weapons in Warzone.

5. MCW

The MCW is by far the easiest gun to use in Warzone. With the right build, this assault barely moves only requiring the slightest adjustment to stay on target. Its lower damage output stops it from being top-tier but it’s still a strong option for those looking for an easy-to-use yet still effective primary weapon.

Though unspectacular, the Holger 556 is one of the most well-balanced assault rifles in Warzone. It is accurate, holds its own at most ranges, and is fairly easy to use. Unfortunately, it is capped at a 40 Round Magazine which greatly limits its usefulness in large team game modes like Trios and Quads.

As per Call of Duty tradition, the new gun is really strong. By all accounts, the BP50 is effectively a better MCW offering comparable ease of use but with an objectively superior TTK and some of the best iron sights we’ve ever seen. Its impressive versatility means that the BP50 can either be used as a long-range primary or sniper support to partner with your one-shot sniper of choice.
