The new update sees the TAQ Evolvere make its debut in Warzone and this laser-accurate LMG is easily one of the best weapons to use, especially with our optimized loadout.
Alongside the HRM-9, the Warzone Season 1 Reloaded update also introduced the TAQ Evolvere. This unique light machine gun is based on the FN Evolys and much like its real-world counterpart can be chambered in both 5.56 and 7.62.
Its performance in Warzone is that of a more mobile LMG but it still offers both a good damage profile and unbelievable damage range. This latter strength is due to its accuracy which also makes it one of the easiest guns to use in CoD’s battle royale.

Best TAQ Evolvere Warzone loadout
- Muzzle: Casus Brake L
- Barrel: LRF Righteous Long Barrel
- Optic: Aim OP-V4
- Stock: SA Kilonova Stock
- Rear Grip: JUP_JP20_LM_EVICTOR_PGRIP_AIM
The TAQ Evolvere’s biggest strength is its performance at long range with the LMG being extremely accurate. To make the most of this it’s best to maximize Aiming Stability using the SA Kilonova Stock and bizarrely named JUP_JP20_LM_EVICTOR_PGRIP_AIM rear grip.
Although its recoil is undoubtedly brilliant it never hurts to improve it further. For this, the Casus Brake L muzzle works well effectively giving the TAQ Evolvere a perfectly vertical recoil spray pattern. With this attachment, the LMG becomes easy to control even for lesser-skill players.
With the Evolvere being a medium to long-range weapon an optic is a given with the Aim OP-V4 making a lot of sense, although the meta Corio Eagleseye 2.5x is an equally great choice. Finally, the LRF Righteous Long Barrel provides a big boost to damage range while also slightly improving recoil.

The TAQ Evolvere is one of the easiest guns to use in Warzone thanks to its spectacular accuracy.
TAQ Evolvere Warzone Loadout: Perks and Equipment
- Perk 1: Sleight of Hand
- Perk 2: EOD
- Perk 3: Survivor
- Perk 4: High Alert
- Lethal: Drill Charge
- Tactical: Scatter Mine
With it being an LMG the TAQ Evolvere suffers from its brutally long reload time of over eight seconds which can leave you vulnerable. Sleight of Hand offsets by speeding up reloads significantly. For Perk 2, the buffed EOD will save your life from enemy explosives and launcher shots making it a strong option.
In Perk slot 3, Survivor is an underrated choice that not only reduces the delay before health regen begins but also speeds up revives. This lets you play as a medic of sorts as you watch over your team making the most of the TAQ Evolvere’s fantastic range.
High Alert is always a strong choice with the Perk 4 providing intel in the form of strobe warnings whenever an enemy aims in your direction. This not only lets you know where other teams are but also greatly increases your odds of preemptively dodging a potentially fatal shot.
For equipment, we choose two options that provide utility for both playing aggressively and controlling an area for when a slower playstyle is preferred. A Drill Charge is used to push other teams and flush them out of cover while a Scatter Mine can be placed to scout for enemies trying to flank you.
How to unlock TAQ Evolvere in Warzone
The TAQ Evolvere is unlocked by completing any 5 challenges from the Week 7 weekly challenges across multiplayer, zombies, and Warzone. Once Season 1 has ended the LMG will be available through the Armory instead.
Best alternative to TAQ Evolvere in Warzone
Given its similarities, it’s no surprise that the TAQ Evolvere has a lot in common with the TAQ Eradicator. Both are accurate LMGs that excel at medium to long-range are are best known for their ease of use.
