When it was first introduced in MW3’s opening season, the TAQ Eradicator didn’t exactly take over the meta. It was a solid weapon but not meta-defining meaning most players overlooked it in favor of other options.
This may have been a mistake though as this LMG has since proven itself to be among the best in its category. It is also surprisingly versatile and can be built to suit a wide range of playstyles, largely thanks to its high fire rate.

Best TAQ Eradicator MW3 loadout
- Muzzle: Shadowstrike Suppressor
- Barrel: Conquer-70 Long Barrel
- Stock: Tacverte Core Stock

With it being an LMG, the TAQ Eradicator is often too slow for the fast-paced gunfights typical of multiplayer. One of the best attachments to fix this problem is the 45 Round Mag which greatly improves every Handling and Mobility stat while still offering a larger magazine than most other weapons.
To further improve Handling it is also recommended to equip the DR-6 Handstop underbarrel. This popular attachment improves several key stats including ADS Speed, Sprint to Fire Speed, and ADS Movement Speed making the TAQ Eradicator much more mobile.
Though the TAQ Eradicator’s recoil is far from the worst found in MW3, it can still be difficult to control during prolonged gunfire. Using the Tacverte Core Stock solves this problem and makes the LMG much more accurate.
The two final attachments worth using are the Conquer-70 Long Barrel and Shadowstrike Suppressor muzzle. The muzzle suppresses gunfire without giving any penalties while the barrel provides a sizable boost to Damage Range and Aiming Idle Stability which makes it easier to take advantage of the TAQ Eradicator’s strengths.

Starting with the Vest, we like the Assassin Vest a lot as it compliments the suppressor well acting as a passive version of Ghost T/V Camo. In fact, it’s even better than Ghost since this vest also keeps you hidden from enemy UAVs while standing still and not just when moving.
Continuing the theme of stealth, the Covert Sneakers silence your footsteps letting you play more aggressively without being punished. Similarly, the Hijacked IFF Strobe prevents enemy streaks from targeting you letting you move around the map more freely.
The gloves slot is flexible with none of them standing out. Even so, the Commando Gloves are always a solid option as they let you reload while sprinting. This can be useful in MW3 for disengaging from an unfavorable gunfight and topping up the TAQ Eradicator’s magazine all at once.
A Semtex is never a bad option in the lethal slot as it can be thrown quickly to pressure and even take out other players. Finally, a well-aimed Stun Grenade will leave enemies immobilized giving you a free kill in the process.

The TAQ Eradicator is unlocked through the Armory by activating the LMG and then either completing 3 Daily Challenges or winning 3 matches. Before Season 1, it was unlocked by completing certain weekly challenges instead.
Best alternative to TAQ Eradicator in MW3
Unsurprisingly, the TAQ Evolvere shares a lot in common with the TAQ Eradicator with both being LMGs from the same family of weapons. The Evolvere is a more mobile version of the Eradicator and is especially strong after the Season 2 rework.
