They say love is in the air, well one thing definitely is, and it’s the floating Genie Legendary Pokemon Enamorus. This lovely creature is riding its cloud straight into Pokemon Go, thanks to the latest event known as Carnival of Love, and a part of the Timeless Travels season.

First introduced in Pokemon Legends: Arceus, Enamorus is an interesting Pokemon not just for its outlandish design and love heart pattern, but also a fairly unique Fairy and Flying-type combination, making it a nightmare for some Dragon-type Pokemon like Garchomp.

So, with the Pokemon making its grand entrance in Pokemon Go, thanks to Pokemon Go Enamorus Raid Day, learn how best to use this lovely Legendary, and if it’s worth your time. Much like a Genie in a bottle, you’ve got to love Enamorus the right way if you want to use it in battle.

Enamorus (Incarnate Forme) stats in Pokemon Go

With thanks to GamePress for the details on stats, we can see that Enamorus is a heavily attack-focused Pokemon, with a stat spread as follows:

  • Attack – 281
  • Defence – 162
  • Stamina – 179

This massive attack stat puts Enamorus just above other Pokemon like Palkia at 280, and just below Rayquaza at 284. With access to powerful STAB in Fairy-type moves, this makes Enamorus a huge threat to Dragon-type Pokemon, but sadly, the low defense means Enamorus may not last long.

With a Fairy and Flying-type combination, Enamorus is weak to Electric, Ice, Poison, Rock, and Steel-type moves. However, it has resistance to Bug, Dark, Dragon, Fighting, Ground, and Grass-type moves, giving it a great chance against some of the most powerful Pokemon in the game.

Best Enamorus (Incarnate Forme) moveset in Pokemon Go

The best moveset for Enamorus in Pokemon Go is Fairy Wind as a Fast Move and Dazzling Gleam as a Charged Move. If you have enough Stardust, Fly is also a great Charged Move, and can help pose a threat to some possible counters like Lucario.

Making use of the extra STAB boost means that Fairy Wind and Dazzling Gleam are clear picks for the best moves in Enamorus’ arsenal, and alongside a huge attack stat, this could make Enamorus a fantastic PvE Pokemon for plenty of Legendary Dragon-type raids.

Enamorus has a limited move pool at the time of writing, as it has only just been introduced. In Pokemon Go Enamorus can learn the following moves:

Enamorus Fast Moves

  • Astonish (Ghost)
  • Zen Headbutt (Psychic)
  • Fairy Wind (Fairy/STAB)

Enamorus Charged Moves

  • Grass Knot (Grass)
  • Dazzling Gleam (Fairy/STAB)
  • Fly (Flying/STAB)

Is Enamorus (Incarnate Forme) any good in Pokemon Go?

Despite having a unique typing and posing a real risk to Dragon-type Pokemon, Enamorus is the definition of a glass cannon. Its lackluster defense means even Pokemon it resists can get in a decent amount of damage with a Charged Move, so players will have to be careful.

Still, there’s no denying that enormous attack stat is something to be scared of, and because of this Enamorus may find a place in the Ultra League or even the Master League. With any luck, it eventually gets its signature move Springtide Storm, which makes better use of its best attributes.
