Whether its landing spots with tonnes of loot or more quieter spots with prime locations on the Island, there is some that have proved better than others.
Epic’s Myths and Mortals update has introduced some major changes to the Chapter 5 Island to shake up the Battle Royale mode once again. Despite it still being early days, certain spots have already stuck out as having huge upsides in comparison to others on the Battle Royale map.
So, here’s all the best spots you can land at in Fortnite Chapter 5 Season 2.
Best landing spots in Fortnite Chapter 5 Season 2
1. Mount Olympus

Mount Olympus is a newly added POI location for Season 2, which is jam-packed with loot all thanks to its many normal chests, as well as 15 rare Olympus chests. You can even challenge Zeus himself and if victorious you will be rewarded with his Thunderbolt of Zeus Mythic weapon, his Medallion and the Huntress DMR Mythic.
Its location is still fairly central and has a less chaotic layout than The Underworld, which makes it easier to navigate and target your enemies or make a quick getaway. Overall, this makes it the best landing spot, just make sure you loot quick and stay alert as it has proved immensely popular with players.
2. Restored Reels

Restored Reels has became the new location name for the Ruined Reels POI this season, despite not much changing other than its ruins being fixed up. It is a very central location of the map, which means you won’t have to worry about the incoming storm for a while as you plan the perfect strategy to get that Victory Royale.
It also has ample amount of loot to get yourselves a fairly strong loadout as long as you eliminate the few surrounding enemies. If successful, you can then easily rotate towards the next circles or even head to Fencing Fields, which is often a warzone and makes it perfect for picking off weakened opponents.
3. The Underworld

The Underworld shares a lot of similarities with Mount Olympus, and is home to its own Greek god of Hades. You can challenge Hades and you defeat him you will receive his Medallion and the Mythic Hades’ Harbinger SMG.
It also features 18 rare Underworld god chests compared to the 15 Olympus chests found at Mount Olympus and it also filled with normal chests and loot. If you jump or fall into the green rivers surrounding it, this will also grant you speed boosts to use.
However, the layout is a lot more complex with various different heighted platforms, which can make for some chaotic gunfights and with not many buildings outside of the main part, it can be hard to escape.
4. Rebel’s Roost

Rebel’s Roost presents a more quieter landing spot choice to start to your matches with as you search for weapons and shields.
Despite being a named POI, give it being right at the top of the map, north west of the island and not centrally located, it should be a lot less dangerous for newer players. But, still having fairly strong loot benefits for a more stealthier approach.
5. Fencing Fields

Fencing Fields is one of the most visually appealing POIs added to Chapter 5, complete with its own vineyard and orchard, fountains and plenty of buildings and fields to loot from. Flowberries can still be found all around the location, but one major change is that the NPC boss Nisha has been removed.
6. Lavish Lair

Lavish Lair is fairly centrally located in comparison to a lot of other POIs across the map and it features various levels filled with loot from top to bottom. This makes it a popular choice among Fortnite players this season, where you will certainly have to watch your step to hold onto your loot rewards.
The snowy POI is positioned towards the top of the island and doesn’t have many surrounding buildings, so if you eliminate any surrounding enemies, it can prove to be a strong location to help get you your Victory Royale.
7. Reckless Railways

Reckless Railways is where the main train station named the Grand Station resides. Unsurprisingly, it still remains one of the most popular landing spots due to its central location and it being filled with loot.
The troublesome NPC boss Valerie has been removed in Season 2. However, Poseidon has been added as a new NPC and now spawns in the center of the train station. You can either hire them to fight in your team or exchange the Warforged AR and Chug Splash for Gold Bars.
