Bella Ramsey Shares Her Scariest Filming Experience in The Last of Us Season 2

In a recent interview with Yahoo Australia, Bella Ramsey reflected on her scariest moment while filming Season 2. Contrary to what fans might assume—like terrifying encounters with infected actors—Ramsey revealed her biggest fear stemmed from simply walking into a pitch-black room after a scene. “Sometimes, at the end of a scene, I walk through a door into a dark room that’s empty. That absence of light and the unknown is the scariest part for me,”she explained.
Along with her fears, Ramsey also recounted a humorous moment from the set while filming a scene with Ellie and Dina (played by Isabella Merced) where they enjoy cookies. Due to many takes and concerns about overindulgence, they enacted a spit bucket scenario, leading to some comical but unpleasant moments. “Having to spit out cookies into a bucket between takes was pretty gross,”chuckled Ramsey. The eagerly awaited Season 2 of The Last of Us premieres on HBO on April 13, 2025. Viewers can also tune into HBO’s accompanying The Last of Us podcast the same night at 9 PM EST, with weekly episodes following thereafter across the series’ seven episodes.
