“Bad Girl” Anime Releases First Trailer and Cast Details Ahead of July 2025 Debut

On March 27, 2025, the much-anticipated Bad Girl anime took a significant step forward by unveiling its inaugural promotional video on its official website and X (formerly Twitter) account. This teaser not only introduced two additional cast members but also confirmed the anime’s July 2025 premiere date. Additionally, the official team released an updated key visual that piques interest further.

Produced by Studio Bridge, the Bad Girl anime is based on the acclaimed four-panel manga series by Nikumaru, which has been serialized in Houbunsha’s Manga Time Kirara Carat since its debut in March 2021. As of now, four tankobon volumes have been published.

First Trailer Highlights Yu Yutani’s Quirky Charm

The trailer reveals an exciting glimpse into the life of Yu Yutani, who makes a bold attempt to catch the eye of Atori Mizutori, the chairman of her school’s disciplinary committee. Yu’s first impression hinges on her presenting herself as a “bad girl,”showcasing various features intended to flirt with onlookers. However, much to her dismay, she is viewed not as a rebellious figure but as adorably cute.

Throughout the captivating video, viewers witness Yu’s enthusiastic efforts to win over Atori through her deliberate delinquent act, alongside appearances by supporting characters such as Suzu, Rura, and others. The trailer also confirmed two new castings: Kaori Maeda as Mizuka Mizutori and Lynn as Kiyoraka Sumiki, expanding the ensemble supporting Yu’s journey.

The newly announced voice actors have shared their excitement on the anime’s official website, expressing their admiration for the charming interactions depicted in the series. Kaori Maeda emphasized her fondness for the lovable character dynamics, while Lynn shared her enthusiasm for the original manga and its compelling characters.

Previous cast announcements have included: Azusa Tachibana as Yu Yutani, Misato Matsuoka as Suzu Suzukaze, Niina Hanamiya as Atori Mizutori, and Miharu Hanai as Rura Ruriha.

The promotional video was not the only update. A refreshed visual highlighting the two newly announced cast members was also shared. Furthermore, the series has planned a live stream event on April 6, 2025, at 7 PM JST, which will take place on YouTube, featuring the voice talents behind Yu, Rura, Suzu, and Atori.

Seasoned director Takeshi Furuta will helm the project at Studio Bridge, with Shoji Yonemura overseeing the series composition. The character design is handled by Yuki Morimoto, known for work on Miss Monochrome, while Arisa Okehazama composes the music for this delightful series.
