Epic Games, the renowned developer behind Fortnite, is vigilant when it comes to maintaining a fair gaming environment. Players often face bans for various infractions, including cheating, exploiting, and most recently, account sharing. In a novel update for Chapter 6 Season 2, the developers have introduced a unique ban mechanism specifically within the Black Markets.
What Actions Will Lead to a Ban in the Black Markets of Fortnite Chapter 6 Season 2?

In the latest chapter, the addition of Black Markets brings a fresh experience, allowing players to trade Dill Bits and gold for valuable weapons, items, and enhancements. However, with the v34.10 update, a new twist has been introduced: if you shoot or eliminate a Black Market NPC, you will be banned from making purchases in that market for the remainder of the match.

The ban is initiated the instant you shoot or take down an NPC, effectively blocking all purchasing options. Players will see a “Banned”notification when attempting to engage with the weapon display cases. Importantly, this ban only affects the specific Black Market where the action occurred; however, repeating this behavior may lead to additional bans.
This in-game ban is temporary and only lasts for the match in which the violation occurred. Unlike standard Fortnite bans resulting from cheating or malicious behavior, players can resume normal activities in the subsequent match, regaining access to the Black Market as usual. Moreover, even after eliminating an NPC, players can still interact with them for item purchases or dialogue.
This new mechanics adds a humorous twist to the gameplay, serving as a playful critique of players who previously enjoyed eliminating NPCs for sport. With the recent introduction of Outlaw keycards to unlock various bunkers, players must tread carefully to avoid missing out on rare rewards from the Black Markets.
