Assassin’s Creed Shadows presents players with an opportunity to test their combat prowess through a series of challenging activities. He invites players to his temple to engage in a fierce fighting ring where they can face formidable opponents one after another—either Naoe or Yasuke will fight for victory. Starting the Tournament Quest in Assassin’s Creed Shadows
To initiate the Tournament quest, players should approach Gyoji outside the Hideout located in the Izumi Settsu region. During their conversation, Gyoji shares the backstory of the tournament he once successfully managed in his temple, which has now fallen under the control of a ruthless group of warriors.
These warriors exploit the tournament as a grim arena for executing their adversaries. This quest calls upon either Yasuke or Naoe to confront and overpower these foes, ultimately restoring Gyoji’s rightful authority to host tournaments. Following this exchange, players must navigate to the Ominesanji Temple, situated in the Yoshino area of Yamato, to officially enter the tournament.
Importantly, players need to eliminate or spare a minimum of seven members of the Shinbakufu to spawn Gyoji at the Hideout.
Opponents in the Tournament and Rewards for Triumph
Upon reaching the Ominesanji Temple in Yamato and engaging with Gyoji, players will be introduced to the various warriors participating in the tournament. To complete the quest, players must defeat all five of these formidable opponents. After defeating the first warrior, players will need to ring a bell to summon their next challenger.
While participating in the tournament, Yasuke is generally preferred due to his specialized combat skills. However, with the right build and strategy, Naoe players can also secure victory.
