Sake and Swords is an engaging side quest found in Assassin’s Creed Shadows, and it continues the narrative line of Gennojo. This mission becomes available after players have completed the Lost Honor main quest, marking the first meeting between Naoe and Gennojo. Engage with Gennojo
To commence the quest, select Gennojo from The League section on the objective board. Your next destination is the Ogura Pond area located in the Yamashiro region. Gennojo can be found in a small village situated east of the Iwashimizu Hachiman Shrine.
Upon reaching the designated area (marked in the image above), engage Gennojo in conversation. During dialogue, you’ll encounter three response options. If you’re interested in fostering a romantic connection with Gennojo, select “Depends what you’re offering.”The other two options are suitable if romance isn’t on your agenda.
Defeat the Samurai Duelists
Following your dialogue with Gennojo, you’ll be attacked by two Samurai Duelists. These opponents are not overly challenging, so defeat them swiftly and then continue interacting with Gennojo.
After the battle, Gennojo will flirt with Naoe, suggesting, “Why don’t you let me show you what a good friend I can be?”To enhance the romantic path, choose “Show me, thief”; if you’re not interested, opt for “You stink.”
Upon concluding the Sake and Swords side quest, you will earn 1000 XP. This progress allows you to unlock the Honor Among Thieves quest, which is essential for recruiting Gennojo as your ally.
