Converse with Hiromichi’s Informant
Your first task is to reach Hiromichi’s informant strategically positioned in the northwest section of the Kakogawa Estuary. If you have already unlocked the Mount Tatsu fast-travel point, feel free to use it. However, exercise caution, as this location places you near a hostile quarry. It’s advisable to sprint past the quarry walls before proceeding to your meeting point.
Upon locating Hiromichi’s informant, you will find him unguarded and ready to speak. You will automatically follow him as he leads you to Hiromichi’s location. Be aware that rogue ronins may attack; if confronted, it is better to evade them, as the informant will continue towards his destination regardless.
Meeting Hiromichi
Upon entering Hiromichi’s residence, you will encounter him and be presented with two dialogue choices:
- You’re loyal to the Ox.
- You’re testing me.
These choices do not affect the mission outcome, so select the one that aligns with your character’s persona. Following this dialogue, Hiromichi assigns you the critical task of eliminating one of The Ox’s prominent lieutenants.
Eliminating The Ox’s Lieutenant
Your target resides on a ship off the coast. To find his exact position, head southeast from Hiromichi until you reach Takasago Shrine. Search a marked house to discover a note revealing the lieutenant’s location.
When you reach the coastal area, you will be unable to miss the massive ship. Naoe can utilize the horizontal wooden planks to ascend the front of the vessel, but Yasuke could opt for a more forceful entry.
Onboard, prepare for confrontation. Stealth is paramount, especially when dealing with the guards. It is advisable to eliminate a guard on the railing, but be prepared for the possibility of detection. The lieutenant is positioned on the upper interior level; climbing and entering through the open window is an effective tactic.
Inside, you will engage The Ox’s lieutenant. While his combat style isn’t overly complex, the key challenge emerges from the steady influx of reinforcements. Prioritize clearing the lower deck to prevent overwhelming chaos as enemies stream in. Targeting the lieutenant first allows for a more controlled battle.
After defeating the lieutenant, make sure to loot his body for The Ox’s shipping manifest. Don’t forget to check the large chest located in the room before making your exit.
Return to Hiromichi
Swim back to shore and report to Hiromichi to conclude the mission in Assassin’s Creed Shadows. He will present you with another dialogue option:
- Thank you for your help.
- You only care about yourself.
This conversation leads to a more significant choice:
- Give the manifest.
- Withhold the manifest.
Although this decision slightly alters Hiromichi’s reaction, it does not affect the overall progression of the mission. Regardless of your choice, Hiromichi leaves, marking the completion of the quest.
