Assassin’s Creed Shadows: Complete Guide to the Pirate Alliance Quest (Locations & Rewards)

In Assassin’s Creed Shadows, players face challenges from various factions, with the Shinbakufu being just one of them. A notable adversarial group that gamers will encounter is the Pirate Alliance, a criminal faction wreaking havoc on the citizens of the Wakasa province. Naoe and Yasuke, the central characters, must work together to dismantle this faction and halt their ongoing raids.

To embark on the Pirate Alliance quest, players should head to the town of Sakamoto Gate in the Wakasa province. This town is positioned at the northwest corner of the province, which may require some travel on the part of the player.

Upon arrival, players need to interact with the message board located in the town center. This action will reveal information about the pirates terrorizing Wakasa and officially add the Pirate Alliance quest to players’ objectives.

Additionally, if players are engaged with the mission involving The Performer from the Shinbakufu, they can also acquire this quest near the conclusion of that mission, just prior to taking down Takeda Motoaki.

Crucial intel on all three pirate targets is accessible from the beginning. However, locating the final pirate, Sen, requires players to defeat the other three first.

The first target on the list is Kage, who can be found aboard a boat off the coast of Obama in Wakasa. Players should navigate southwest from Sakamoto Gate to locate Kage, who is surrounded by several enemies on his vessel.

Once players board the boat, they must defeat Kage to earn the Brotherly Pride epic katana as their reward.

Location of Pirate Alliance Target ‘Lopo Cruz’

Lopo Cruz, the second target, resides in Nariu’s Lair, positioned between two land masses in the Shattered Coast of Wakasa. Players will encounter a heavily guarded enemy camp on their way, but stealthy players can navigate through it by silently taking out a few foes.

Lopo Cruz can be spotted on a ship to the northwest of the camp, and taking him down will grant players the Ocean’s Grip legendary kusarigama.

Location of Pirate Alliance Target ‘Little Kappa’

Players can track down Little Kappa in Maizuru’s Lair, situated in the center of the Shattered Coast, Wakasa. This lair contains explosive barrels that players can leverage by detonating them when Little Kappa approaches. While this tactic won’t finish off Little Kappa, it will reduce his health considerably.

The presence of other enemies in the lair can complicate the confrontation a bit, but upon defeating Little Kappa, players will acquire Kappa’s Hammer epic Kanabo. Additionally, a captive Jesuit priest in the camp provides vital information about the final target, Sen.

To Attack or Spare: The Dilemma of Facing ‘Sen’

Location of Sen

To locate Sen, players should make their way to the Yura Fishing Village in the Fukuchiyama area of Tamba, specifically in the western section of the village. Here, players can engage in conversation with Sen, who claims to have abandoned his life of piracy for more noble pursuits.

This interaction presents players with a choice: they can either engage in combat or choose to spare him. Opting for violence leads to a typical battle scenario, while choosing to converse peacefully still completes the quest without further conflict. If players spare Sen, they will receive a combo ender engraving, though they forfeit the chance to collect an epic weapon from him.

If players have previously defeated The Performer and allied with Oni-Yuri, they will possess a key to a mysterious treasure chest. Completing the quest then involves visiting Shindo, the Biwa Master, to uncover the legendary chest hidden within Koromodako Cave, located in the Shattered Coast region of Wakasa.
