Assassin’s Creed Shadows presents players with the unique opportunity to undertake missions as two distinct protagonists: Yasuke and Naoe. One engaging quest, titled “The Betrayers,”tasks you with the important mission of tracking down and eliminating seven traitors who wronged Hori Hidemasa in the tumultuous aftermath of Lord Nobunaga’s demise.
With the death of his master, Hori Hidemasa is driven by a desire for retribution against those responsible for Oda Nobunaga’s assassination. It’s now your responsibility to hunt down all seven traitors and deliver justice on behalf of Hidemasa’s late lord. The dual-protagonist mechanic in AC Shadows allows you to switch between characters, enhancing your mission strategies.

Rewards Earned for Defeating Each Betrayer
To embark on this quest, approach Hori Hidemasa, who can be found in Omi, just north of the Mouth of Seta Jizo Statue. Upon engaging in conversation, open your objectives page to find the Betrayers board, revealing a total of seven targets that you will need to eliminate.
Two of the traitors will provide hints regarding their locations, one will be marked on your map, and the remaining four will unveil themselves as you progress. Although you start the quest as Yasuke, you can seamlessly transition to Naoe, utilizing her skills to assist you in your elimination tasks. However, make sure to switch back to Yasuke to conclude the mission and report back to Hidemasa.

Collecting Rewards for Identifying All Betrayers
Conclude the Quest for Additional Rewards
After successfully dealing with all seven Betrayers, return to Omi and engage in another conversation with Hori Hidemasa. If you are controlling Naoe at the time, you will need to switch to Yasuke to interact with Hidemasa. Upon doing so, Yasuke reassures Hidemasa that the soul of his late master, Lord Nobunaga, can now find peace, having avenged the traitors.
During this concluding interaction, you will have two responses to choose from: “I am the grateful one”or “meeting you was my reward.”Opting for the latter may open up romantic possibilities with Hidemasa. Once your dialogue wraps up, you will receive your final rewards for completing this significant quest in Assassin’s Creed Shadows:
5,000 XP, Hori Hidemasa’s Epic Helmet, and valuable Gold Crafting Material.
