The Vibrant Visuals upgrade was unveiled during the inaugural Minecraft Live event of 2025, where Mojang developers elaborated on the months of effort that went into the project. Importantly, this update is primarily tailored for Minecraft Bedrock Edition.
During the presentation, Jens Bergensten conveyed that players can expect this feature in the near future, specifically for Bedrock devices:
“The first version [of Vibrant Visuals] will be available on compatible Bedrock [Edition] devices in the coming months,”said Jens Bergensten.
This indicates that players may be able to access Vibrant Visuals by summer, with a possibility of it coinciding with the next major game update release.
Following the event, Mojang published a comprehensive blog post detailing the Vibrant Visuals project, confirming that the initial rollout would occur on selected devices. The team will continue to enhance compatibility for a wider range of devices over time.
Still Awaiting Information for Minecraft Java Edition
During the same Minecraft Live event, Jens Bergensten also mentioned that efforts are underway to bring Vibrant Visuals to Java Edition. According to the official blog, once the update is deployed across all Bedrock Edition devices, Mojang will shift focus to ensuring all Java Edition platforms receive the upgrade, catering to both creators and players alike.
At this moment, there is no specified timeframe for the rollout of Vibrant Visuals for Java Edition, keeping fans eagerly awaiting further updates.
