Splatoon 3 has officially unveiled the details for its upcoming SpringFest, a special Splatfest slated for April 11, 2025. This event will invite players to express their preference for a time of day, aligning themselves with either Team Morning, Team Afternoon, or Team Night. The collective performance of these teams will directly impact the rewards available to participants.
This seasonal Splatfest follows the recent launch of Patch 9.3.0, which, while not introducing major updates, continues to provide necessary tweaks and fixes for Splatoon 3. Notably, this update adjusted certain Tricolor Turf War maps to enhance gameplay, specifically modifying areas that players can cover with ink near their spawn points. Additionally, Nintendo is committed to addressing lingering issues with frequent patches, ensuring the game remains polished for multiplayer experiences.
Players interested in participating in this limited-time event can join in starting at 8:00 PM Eastern on April 11. To make their selection, they can visit the Pledge Box and answer the engaging question: “When do you get things done?”Similar to previous events, the popular trio from Deep Cut—Shiver, Frye, and Big Man—will represent the respective teams.

During SpringFest, Shiver will represent Team Morning, Frye will champion Team Afternoon, and Big Man will lead Team Night. This lively event will conclude on April 13, at 8:00 PM Eastern, with results being announced shortly after the event’s end. Members of Nintendo Switch Online who participate in Splatoon 3 will be able to claim unique SpringFest user icons during this time.
Throughout the duration of SpringFest, players will also have the opportunity to earn items from the previous Splatoon 2 event, Hare vs. Tortoise Splatfest. Notable rewards such as the Pearlescent Squidkid IV shoes can be reclaimed at the lobby terminal after launching the game through the News app. Furthermore, Nintendo encourages players to utilize the free Nintendo Today mobile app to stay updated on future events, including potential returning Splatfests.
As Splatfests have been occurring infrequently, SpringFest may very well be the last event for Splatoon 3 ahead of the anticipated launch of the Nintendo Switch 2 on June 5. It remains uncertain if a special edition of Splatoon 3 will be released for the new console.
