Apink, originally featuring seven members, now consists of five talented artists: Chorong, Bomi, Eunji, Namjoo, and Hayoung. Former members Yookyung and Naeun have since departed from the group.

A Look Back at Apink’s Journey

The five-member ensemble first graced the K-pop scene on April 19, 2011, with their mini-album, Seven Springs of Apink. This debut included tracks such as “Seven Springs of Apink,””It Girl,””I Don’t Know,””Wishlist,”and “Boo,”marking the beginning of their longstanding contribution to the music industry under A Cube Entertainment and LOEN Entertainment.

Recent Releases and Contract Developments

In 2024, Apink celebrated their thirteenth anniversary with the release of a digital single titled Wait Me There on April 18, produced in collaboration with IST Entertainment and EMA Records. Furthermore, earlier that year, they had launched their tenth mini-album, Self, on April 10, featuring the title track “D N D”along with four other songs: “Withcha,””Me, Myself & I,””Candy,”and “I Want You To Be Happy.”

In April 2023, the group’s dynamics shifted as Chorong, Bomi, Namjoo, and Hayoung chose not to renew their contracts with IST Entertainment, opting to explore new opportunities. In contrast, Eunji decided to extend her contract with the agency. Subsequently, on April 28, 2023, the four members signed with Choi Creative Lab, where they committed to collaborate with IST Entertainment for Apink’s ongoing group activities.

“As all members have a strong will and affection for Apink group activities, we promised to continue their team activities without disbanding the group. We will continue to cooperate with IST Entertainment in relation to Apink’s future activities.”

In a festive mood, Apink also released a special single titled Pink Christmas on December 11, 2023, showcasing their versatility in genres with a jazz ballad. Notable contributors to this track include Eunji, Namjoo, Park Sang-yu, and Yoon Ye-ji.
