Recently, aespa’s Karina surpassed IVE’s Jang Wonyoung to become the most-followed 4th gen female K-pop idol on Instagram.

However, fans of Jang Wonyoung have since expressed suspicions towards Karina‘s achievement, even accusing Karina of buying bot followers and Instagram likes.
These fans also uploaded evidence of bot accounts that follow Karina, at the same time implying that SM paid money to help Karina attain the “most-followed” title.

In response, Karina’s fans retaliated by pointing out that there are also numerous bot accounts that followed Jang Wonyoung on Instagram and liked her post, and even provided evidence that the percentage of fake accounts that follow Jang Wonyoung is higher than that of Karina.
well sweetheart, if we gonna go there then do you mind explaining why your girl has a higher rate of fake accounts than Karina? https://t.co/QBCmKAiESQ pic.twitter.com/mlt0CIOwB8
