Adin Ross Twitch Ban History: Timeline of Events Leading to Streamer’s Two-Year Unban

Adin Ross: From Controversial Kick Streamer to Twitch Comeback

Adin Ross, the contentious figure in the streaming community, has made his way back to Twitch after enduring an indefinite ban in February 2023. Following this setback, he transitioned to Kick, rapidly establishing himself as a prominent personality on the platform, where he gathered over 1.6 million followers. Despite his achievements on Kick, Adin has been vocal about his grievances with Twitch’s censorship and expressed a strong desire to return to his original platform.

A History of Disciplinary Actions

Prior to his indefinite ban, Ross had already faced numerous disciplinary measures, totaling seven actions for various infractions. From 2020 to 2022, he was suspended three times for utilizing slurs. His most recent ban stemmed from allowing hateful language to proliferate in an unmoderated chat on Kick.

Adin Ross’ Dominance on Kick

After departing Twitch, Ross took the title of the most-followed content creator on Kick. However, in October 2024, he was unseated by fellow streamer Luis “WestCol.”Yet Adin’s influence didn’t wane; in January 2025, he announced the return of his “Brand Risk Boxing”events featuring popular influencers, emphasizing his intention to bring these spectacles back to Twitch.

The Journey: From Gaming to Controversy

Adin Ross began his streaming career in 2018, initially garnering attention for his content centered around NBA 2K. He experienced a surge in popularity after collaborating with Bronny James, son of NBA superstar LeBron James, during a livestream in May 2021. This collaboration marked a significant turning point in his career.

As Ross moved away from NBA 2K, he began hosting “Just Chatting”sessions. However, his decision to feature controversial figures like Nicholas “Sneako”and Andrew Tate drew significant criticism from the online community. Additionally, Adin’s foray into gambling sparked widespread calls for Twitch to impose bans on gambling activities on the platform.

Shifts in Twitch’s Guidelines and the Path to Unban

In September 2022, Twitch imposed strict regulations on unlicensed gambling, an action that negatively affected Adin’s income from sponsorships with gambling sites. Shortly after, the founders of Stake.com partnered with Twitch streamer Tyler “Trainwreckstv”to create Kick, offering a new avenue for gambling content.

Despite continuing his gambling streams on Kick and hosting Just Chatting sessions on Twitch, Ross was handed an indefinite ban for what Twitch labeled “hateful conduct” on March 29, 2023. While he continued his streaming endeavors on Kick, he frequently articulated his intention to return to Twitch.

On February 20, 2025, Twitch announced changes to its Community Guidelines, eliminating permanent bans and introducing a system of “escalating consequences.”This new approach allows streamers to petition for reinstatement after a period of six months instead of facing indefinite suspensions. According to the updated guidelines:

“If your account was previously indefinitely suspended, it will remain so. To restore access, you can submit an appeal or request reinstatement if your suspension has lasted longer than six months.”

Additionally, past violations are set to expire under the new rules, indicating that previous infractions will no longer affect an account’s standing once they reach their expiration date. This development has led many, including internet users, to speculate about the possibility of Adin Ross’s unban.

On March 23, 2025, during a live stream with Din “Agent 00″Muktar, Adin hinted at an upcoming unban, stating:

“One week and I’m unbanned.”

On March 30, 2025, viewers noted that Adin’s Twitch channel was back in operation. However, his profile appeared stripped of all followers, and earlier livestreams were unavailable. As of now, Adin has yet to disclose the timing of his first stream post-unban.

Recently, he made headlines again by expressing concerns about rapper Kanye West’s mental health following controversial posts on social media. This prompted a response from West, who suggested that Adin himself requires professional help.
