Adin Ross Issues Apology After Controversy Over Viral Clip Allegedly Showing Hitler Salute

On March 10, 2025, popular streamer Adin Ross addressed the controversy surrounding a clip that seemingly featured him performing the Hitler salute. The apology was posted on his alternate account on X, @Ar15thed3mon, following a wave of backlash after the video gained traction online. Originally shared by X user @DornerClipz earlier this year, the clip only garnered significant attention recently.

Despite being labeled as a “controversial arm gesture,”many viewers interpreted Ross’s actions as an imitation of the notorious Nazi salute associated with Adolf Hitler’s regime. One user expressed their frustrations quite plainly:

“‘controversial arm gesture’. N*zi salute. Just say N*zi salute. Oh my god, stop changing the f**king meaning and erasing history.”

In response to the criticisms, Ross admitted in his post that he felt overwhelmed by the situation, stating that attempts to mend his public image had failed. He confessed,

“I feel defeated tryna even repair things or explain stuff because there’s no explaining. I’m pictured the way I’m pictured and it sucks, sorry to everyone I have failed.”

Context Behind the Controversial Gesture

The discourse surrounding the Nazi salute has intensified, especially after a high-profile incident involving Elon Musk during Trump’s inauguration. Musk’s gesture, which sparked significant debate, has reverberated through online discussions and has particularly resonated within the streaming community. For instance, fellow streamer Asmongold defended Musk despite the backlash.

Adin Ross’s recent arm gesture during a fan interaction has ignited similar levels of controversy. In the clip, Ross touches his right hand to his chest before raising it above his shoulder, mimicking Musk’s earlier action. This moment was documented by a fan who was recording, showing how others in attendance responded by extending their hands towards him.

Adin Ross is not alone in this scrutiny; the streaming community has faced similar allegations. Another Twitch streamer, Katchii, recently received a seven-day ban after emulating Musk during a live stream celebrating the Chinese New Year with fellow streamer Emiru.
