Your adventure to find the Mamushi Snake Hood begins at Omizo Castle, situated in the Omi region, just west of Lake Biwa within the Ado River Valley. This castle bears the same name as the nearby town, Omizo.

If you’ve recently journeyed to Sakamoto, especially during the quest involving the Naginata of the Shinbakufu, you can easily reach Omizo by heading north along the coastline. Alternatively, you could travel from Okishima Island, where the Namazu Mount is located, and take a boat directly to Omizo.

To unlock the legendary chest containing the Mamushi Snake Hood, you must defeat two Samurai Daishos within Omizo Castle. Unlike many other fortresses in the game, the chest with this legendary armor is located outside of the main keep, making it a bit easier to access once you’ve completed the necessary combat challenges.

Equipping the Mamushi Snake Hood provides a significant boost, reducing cooldown times on ally abilities by an impressive 33%. This enhancement allows players to summon allies more frequently, which can be a game-changer in various situations throughout Assassin’s Creed Shadows.
