Fortnite Chapter 5 Season 2 has arrived but players can’t hop into the servers just yet. Due to maintenance issues, Fortnite has extended the downtime for an additional eight hours.
Fortnite Chapter 5 Season 2 has become the hot topic on everyone’s minds as the first season of this chapter finally approaches its end.
Epic Games has begun teasing various features coming in Season 2. They have introduced the Odyssey NPC, which along with her own quests, as well as various leaks, point towards a Greek Mythology theme.
There have also been mysterious earthquakes happening across the Battle Royale island, which looks set to be to leading up to the Titan Hand & Earthquake event.

The downtime for Fortnite Chapter 5 Season 2 will end on March 8, 2024 at around 5:00 pm EST. There is no set time for maintenance to end, but the last status update has stated that the maintenance will take at least eight more hours.

Previous season launches happened at 2:00 am EST, which means that this start will be an hour later than usual. However, Fortnite gave no reason for why this start will be later than normal.
