The latest title from Larian Studios’ is Baldur’s Gate 3, a huge RPG that lets players step into the world of Dungeons and Dragons to go on a grand adventure across the Forgotten Realms. There’s a lot to do in the game from deciding on your character’s class and race, to taking on enemies in battle, and meeting various companions.
Baldur’s Gate 3 captivated PC players across the globe when it was released in August 2023 and a PS5 version followed soon after but if you’re an Xbox fan you may be curious to know if it’s also available on Xbox consoles.

Is Baldur’s Gate 3 available on Xbox?
Yes, Baldur’s Gate 3 is available on Xbox. After taking home the award for Game of the Year in The Game Awards on December 7, 2023, the Xbox version shadow-dropped on both series X and S.
The official Baldur’s Gate 3 X account posted a message right after the ceremony announcing the arrival of the game to Microsoft’s platforms.

As we all know, the devs confirmed a while back that an Xbox version of the game was in development. Though they refrained from formally announcing a specific date, they did say the game was set to release in December.
Remember that Baldur’s Gate 3 has cross-platform progression. Therefore, you should be able to switch platforms with ease now.
Does Baldur’s Gate 3 have a physical release on Xbox Series X/S?
Yes, Baldur’s Gate 3 does have a physical edition on Xbox Series X/S. Notably, this version of the game will launch on 4 discs.
Unfortunately, the only physical release will be part of the more expensive Deluxe Edition. Also, the initial wave of Deluxe Editions has sold out, so you’ll need to wait for more to be made available in the future.
