Despite the backlash Jiwoong has faced from the public, WAKEONE still apologized and relayed that the clip went through forensics.

According to Dispatch’s findings, it was difficult to verify who cursed in the video, causing mixed reactions from netters. In a new development, the criticism managed to manifest at an awards show.

On February 18, the second day of the 2023 Hanteo Music Awards was held and concluded the ceremony.

Numerous K-pop artists were awarded in praiseworthy categories, including the Bonsang for Artist of the Year, Daesang (Grand Prize), and many more. Apart from the main awarding segment, K-pop artists also delivered energetic performances.

K-pop fandoms were present at the scene, as they cheered for the special stages their favorite artists have prepared. However, not all went smoothly during the program, as a controversial issue transpired during ZEROBASEONE’s performance.

On the same day (February 18), netizens gathered in an online community titled, “Fan who shouted ‘withdraw’ after ZEROBASEONE’s stage at Hanteo Music Awards.”

In the post, the author claimed that someone had shouted “Withdraw! Withdraw! I beg you to do it!“after ZEROBASONE did their ending pose as the lights drew to a close.

This distasteful remark sparked a debate on the thread, with some K-netz relaying other translations from the clip and suggesting forensic work over the audio. Meanwhile, others took the situation lightly and found the clip hilarious. Read their comments below:
