Baby Pokemon can be a bit tricky to obtain in Pokemon Go, and that includes Gen 4’s Chingling.
Baby Pokemon, like Generation 4’s Chingling, work a bit differently compared to other monsters found throughout Pokemon Go.
Specifically, Baby Pokemon are typically only available to obtain through hatching Eggs. As there are many available monsters in Pokemon Go, the Egg selection rotates which can make hatching certain Babies hard.

How to get a Chingling in Pokemon Go
When originally introduced Chingling was rarely available to hatch from 7km Eggs as it is a Baby Pokemon. Since its introduction, it has rotated out of the Egg hatch selection with each month, meaning it’s random when Chingling is added back into the rotation.
However, Chingling is available to hatch during the Sinnoh Tour 2024 event. It is part of the 2km Egg pool alongside other Gen 4 Baby Pokemon like Bonsly, Mime Jr., Budew, and more.
Can Chingling be Shiny in Pokemon Go?
Yes, Chingling can be found as a Shiny in Pokemon Go. Shiny Chingling made its debut during the Sinnoh Tour 2024 event alongside a handful of other Pokemon.
