On the 14th (local time), Taiwanese media ‘ETtoday’ conducted an interview with Wang Kunho, a member of the Japanese idol group BUGVEL. Wang Kunho, who hails from YG Entertainment, gained recognition domestically by appearing on various survival programs.
Wang Kunho recalled his trainee days, stating, “Japan and Korea have different ways of training trainees.” He remarked, “Korea is too strict. Sometimes it’s inhumane.” He added, “One day, I wanted to buy a cola at a convenience store and sneak out with other trainees to throw away trash, but I got caught the next day and scolded.” Wang Kunho expressed his hardships as a trainee, saying, “Unless you’re from a major agency, you have to receive pocket money at home. Even if you debut with a major agency, you still need support from home.”
Wang Kunho, who debuted with the idol group BUGVEL in Japan in 2022, honestly replied, “I’m not satisfied with (BUGVEL activities).
Being from Taiwan, Wang Kunho expressed his gratitude, saying, “It’s difficult to communicate with Taiwanese fans while active in Japan, but I’m happy for their constant support.” He announced his future plans, saying, “I was very busy last year. In March, I plan to release a new song.”
Meanwhile, Wang Kunho faced the setback of elimination after participating in JTBC2’s ‘YG Treasure Box’, a survival program for YG Entertainment’s rookie boy group TREASURE, in 2018. He also appeared on tvN’s ‘Produce X 101′ in 2019 but was eliminated.
