Teamfight Tactics Set 11: release date, theme, more

Set 11 of Teamfight Tactics is slowly approaching, following up from the musical Set 10, here’s what we know including the release date, theme, and more.

Teamfight Tactics is gearing up to venture into a new Set. Set 11 is coming up over the horizon, with players excited to see what the new version of the auto battler may hold.

The Set change will see all units from the previous one being swapped out, as well as new traits and origins being added to spice up the title. This essentially makes TFT a brand-new game, with players needing to discover optimal ways to play with a drastically different environment.

Looking to get a headstart on the changes coming in Set 11? We’ve got you covered.

Teamfight Tactics Set 11 release date

Set 11 of Teamfight Tactics is scheduled to release on Patch 14.6, which will hit live servers on March 20, 2024. As per usual, the set will be available for testing on the PBE two weeks beforehand being March 6, 2024.

Players wanting to hop into the new Set early are free to log into the PBE for testing, but be aware that server/ connection issues and bugs may be plentiful as the devs continue the testing for live servers.

Teamfight Tactics Set 11 theme

As per the Teamfight Tactics roadmap, we know that the theme for Set 11 is all about “an encounter with myths & legends” .

The roadmap depicts Blood Moon Aatrox for the art, being particularly reminiscent of Set 4, which had a certain mythical element to it featuring units like Neeko and Cho’Gath.

Mechanically speaking we aren’t sure what exactly Myths and Legends will entitle, but expect to see fabled creatures from all over Runeterra appearing in the Convergence.

Teamfight Tactics Set 11 mechanics

Augments

Set 11 of Teamfight Tactics will likely continue to have augments. Augments are buffs that provide various bonuses to your team, economy, and more. These help add variance and change up the play style from game to game, giving intelligent players an opportunity to get ahead if they play their cards right.

Portals

Carrying over from Set 9, portals may also make an appearance in Set 11. At the start of the game, the entire lobby will vote on a portal, these offer slightly different bonuses to the entire lobby. Bonuses can range from gaining some free units early, or even changing all PvE rounds into Scuttle Crabs.

Legends

Another remnant of Set 9, it’s unlikely Legends will be seeing a return in Set 11. As a mechanic, Legends allowed players to customize their augment choices, representing a sort of playstyle depending on which Legend you selected. Unfortunately balancing for Legends was incredibly difficult, so Riot put it back in the workshop after Set 9 finished.

Twisted Fate from Legends of Runeterra
Riot Games

Legends like Twisted Fate and Urf became must-picks in Set 9, forming a meta Riot didn’t like.

Because of the balancing, it’s unlikely that Riot will be adding Legends back into TFT until they are more confident.
