The Season 1 Reloaded update saw the arrival of two new weapons, the HRM-9 SMG and the TAQ Evolvere. The latter of the two is a versatile LMG that can chamber both 5.56 and 7.62 giving the gun two completely different setups depending on preference.
It’s a unique weapon that excels in a few key areas including recoil control, accuracy, damage range, and ease of use. Whether it will become a meta option is debatable but regardless the TAQ Evolvere is a strong addition to MW3 that is well worth using.

With it being an LMG, the TAQ Evolvere has slow handling which is a big no-no in multiplayer. Improving this is the number one priority of this build and the best attachment to do so is the 50 Round 762 Belt which improves every handling and mobility stat possible, albeit at the cost of a smaller magazine.
It’s also worth equipping the Schlager PEQ Box IV laser and SL Skeletal Vertical Grip underbarrel which provide noticeable improvements to ADS speed. This makes the Evolvere feel snappier and viable in multiplayer where the pacing is far higher than Warzone.
Though the TAQ Evolvere’s recoil is fairly easy to control anyway it never hurt to improve it further using the SA Kilonova Stock. Finally, the Shadowstrike Suppressor muzzle suppresses the LMG with no downsides keeping you off the radar at all times.
The TAQ Evolvere is one of MW3’s most versatile LMGs, offering great range and accuracy.

The Assassin Vest is a powerful choice with it providing the benefits of Ghost T/V Camo without having to use up a gear slot. This compliments the equipped suppressor well keeping you off the enemy radar and making it easier to move around the map freely.
With it being an LMG, the TAQ Evolvere’s reload time leaves a lot to be desired especially given MW3’s fast-paced gameplay. To fix this problem both the Commando Gloves and Mag Holster gear should be used which not only speed up reloads but also let you reload while sprinting.
Covert Sneakers stand out as the strongest option in the Boots slot with them silencing footsteps. Alongside the Assassin Vest and Shadowstrike Suppressor, this makes you extremely stealthy and difficult to track down for enemy players.
For equipment, a Semtex is an excellent lethal as it can be thrown quickly to pressure or take out opponents without having to waste ammo. Finally, a Stim is a good choice because it provides instant healing during difficult situations where you’d otherwise fall.
How to unlock TAQ Evolvere in Modern Warfare 3
The TAQ Evolvere can be unlocked in MW3 by completing any 5 challenges from the Week 7 weekly challenges across multiplayer, zombies, and Warzone. Once Season 1 has ended the LMG will be available through the Armory instead.
Best alternative to TAQ Evolvere in Modern Warfare 3
Although it’s a battle rifle and not an LMG, the BAS-B shares a lot in common with the Taq Evolvere with both chambering high-caliber ammunition, having competitive TTKs, and excelling at medium to long range.
