Bringing a more sinister look at some of our favorite Pokemon monsters, the open-world survival game Palworld has left many fans hyped for its release. While on one hand, it’s an adorable crafting game set in a world filled with lovable creatures, on the other, it’s a brutal shooting experience where all those monsters have deadly weapons.
Thankfully, you don’t have to experience this game alone, as its multiplayer capabilities mean you can take down bosses, explore, or build bases with your friends. So, with that in mind, does Palworld have crossplay or cross-progression?
Does Palworld have crossplay?
Unfortunately no, Palworld will not have any crossplay capabilities when it releases on January 19. So, you won’t be able to play the game with friends if they’re on a different console from you.
That being said, while it’s not in the game yet, since Palworld is releasing in early access, there’s always a chance the functionality added later on down the line, especially given the developer’s comments on the matter.
In the game’s official Discord FAQ, they detailed: “Not at launch, but we are working to make this a possibility as soon as possible!” So, while it’s not there at the moment, it’s certainly something the devs are planning on adding.
Does Palworld have cross-progression?
In a similar way to crossplay, Palworld will not have cross-progression when it initially releases. So you’ll want to be careful about which platform you choose to play the game on, or you may just have to start again if you head to a different console.
