Shadowheart is a High Half-elven Cleric of Shar. Her dedication to the neutral-evil goddess of darkness and the night allows her to use illusion and manipulation magic on top of the standard Cleric arsenal.

Astarion

Astarion is a handsome High-elven rogue who also happens to be a vampire! His class and affliction give him a variety of stealth attacks and a few magic options if you’re so inclined.

Gale

Gale Baldur's Gate 3
Larian Studios

With great hair and powerful spells, Gale is undoubtedly a Human Wizard. He’s a competent magic user with some potential build variety and tons of great spells to set him apart from the rest.

Wyll

Wyll Baldur's Gate 3
Larian Studios

You’d think Wyll’s habit of consorting with demons would make him a rather nasty fellow. Despite that, this Human Warlock is an honorable warrior who’s a capable swordsman with some eldritch magic to back it up.

Lae’zel

Baldur's Gate 3 Lae'zel
Larian Studios

Lae’zel is a powerful Githyanki fighter whose usefulness in combat is balanced by her snarky demeanor and sharp tongue. She has a fairly narrow skillset that involves stabbing things for big damage and… that’s it. Just the stabbing. This makes her the ideal Origin character for newcomers who don’t want to have to grapple with the complexities of other classes.

Karlach

Karlach Baldur's Gate 3
Larian Studios

Karlach has been described as a vengeance-seeking badass on the hunt for friendship and a chance to help the oppressed. If our DnD knowledge is sound, she will like to Rage.

This Tiefling Barbarian helps to add significant DPS and entertainment to your party. Her skills and proficiency include Athletics, Perception, Survival, and Intimidation.

Halsin

Halsin Baldur's Gate 3
Larian Studios

Halsin is a Druid who’s the leader of the Druid Grove in the first act. He’ll eventually come with you if you play your cards right and accompany you to Moonrise Tower in Act 2.

Jaheira

Jaheira Baldur's Gate 3
Larian Studios

Jaheira is one of the only multi-class Companions in Baldur’s Gate 3, as a Fighter/Druid. She’s a powerful fighter and one that many may recognize from previous Baldur’s Gate games.

Minthara

Minthara Baldur's Gate 3
Larian Studios

Minthara is a Drow Paladin who is rather mysterious. She’s one of the three Goblin leaders, and if you choose to side with her will become one of your companions.

Minsc

Minsc Baldur's Gate 3
Larian Studios

As a popular returning character, Minsc will be returning as a Ranger. He’s a lovable character with an adorable yet deadly pet hamster, otherwise known as Boo. He’s not an Origin character so unfortunately you won’t be able to play as him.
