To conclude December, the Korean Business Research Institute has revealed various brand reputation rankings that measure K-pop artists’ popularity for the month. The organization then followed a list involving K-pop girl groups who made the most buzz this December.
According to the institute’s list, the results were derived from huge data gathered from November 10 to December 10. The list was also determined by numerous factors including the artists’ exposure to media, the participation of consumers, and community awareness.
Here are the Top 10 most popular K-pop girl groups in December 2023!
1. BLACKPINK
On the No. 1 spot, BLACKPINK reigned the list for December with a brand reputation index of 6,148,842. Aside from the group content, the members have made buzz online for their contract status under YG Entertainment and their future endeavors, as well as solo activities.
2. NewJeans
For the month of December, NewJeans placed on No. 2 after garnering a brand reputation index of 4,730,218. The quintet also trended this December for their achievements in award shows, music charts, and content on social media.
3. IVE
IVE secured third place for December after receiving a brand reputation index of 4,547,363.
4. BABYMONSTER
BABYMONSTER made it in fourth place after collecting a brand reputation index of 2,691,229. Despite being a rookie group, BABYMONSTER has cemented a solid good start as YG Entertainment’s newest girl group.
5. aespa
The top five was completed by none other than fourth-gen leader aespa, who garnered a brand reputation index of 2,594,605.
December was a busy and activity-filled month for the “Drama”hitmakers, as they trended in the K-pop community for their schedules in year-end events, award shows, and many more!
6. LE SSERAFIM
LE SSERAFIM continued the list by placing No. 6 due to receiving a brand reputation index of 2,515,040. Like any other fourth-gen representative, LE SSERAFIM also made buzz by appearing on special occasions, alongside year-end festivals, and award shows.
7. (G)I-DLE
(G)I-DLE received a brand reputation index of 2,514,102 for December.
8. TWICE
With a brand reputation index of 2,512,388, TWICE managed to secure the No. 8 spot.
9. Red Velvet
Red Velvet made it on No. 9 after garnering a brand reputation index of 2,399,927.
10. OH MY GIRL
Finally, we have OH MY GIRL, who rounded the Top 10 with an index of 1,964,195.
