The idol’s military enlistment process is now green-lit.
On December 13, Korean news outlets reported that Sehun had confirmed his military enlistment, which was scheduled for December 21.
According to sources, the idol also followed up a handwritten letter expressing his resolve to complete his military service and return to fans in good shape. Since Sehun is the youngest member of EXO, he would also be the last member to enlist in the military.

“Hello. This is Sehun.
Everyone is healthy and doing well, right? I have to tell you some news, so that’s why I wrote a letter. I will begin my military service on December 21. I want to apologize for sharing the news with EXO-Ls so late.
I’ve also been spending my time alone and taking care of myself while thinking deeply about things. That’s the reason why I couldn’t show my face to you, so I’m saying hello to everyone like this. I hope you can understand just a little bit about me being unable to greet you all in person.
I want to express my sincerest thanks to everyone who cares and supports me. I also hope everyone will stay healthy until I complete my duty and return in good health.
Thank you.”
Following this, Sehun also shared a message on fan platform Bubble. The idol stated:
“I feel sad and regretful. I don’t want to let you go and I know how you feel. Even when I’m gone and serving, I was watching and listening to what Eri said stealthily! I’ll watch EXO’s solo performances countless of time on YouTube during my military service.”
“I’m sure Sehun and Eri will miss each other a lot. Jongin is the same, so let’s tell him to have a nice trip!”
