ATEEZ’s ‘THE WORLD EP FIN: WILL’ Takes Over Billboard 200 with Triumphant #1 Victory
The “Crazy Form”singers have set a historic record in Billboard and K-pop!
On December 10, Billboard officially announced that ATEEZ debuted on the Top 200 Albums chart’s No. 1 with their second full-length album “THE WORLD EP. FIN: WILL.”
This achievement is impressive to its core, since the Billboard 200 ranks the most popular albums in the United States, proving ATEEZ’s large international following. Billboard also released a breakdown of their accomplishment.
Music and entertainment data provider Luminate disclosed that “THE WORLD EP. FIN: WILL”collected a total of 152,000 equivalent album units for the week ending on December 7.
This consisted of 146,000 traditional album sales, 5,500 streaming equivalent album units, 7.59 million on-demand streams, along with 500 track equivalent album units. This led to the count of 152,000 equivalent album units, which marks ATEEZ’s biggest U.S. sales week.
With this achievement, ATEEZ became the seventh Korean artist in history to place No. 1 on Billboard 200. The fourth-gen group has trailed previous acts BTS, Stray Kids, SuperM, TXT, BLACKPINK, and NewJeans.
“THE WORLD EP. FIN: WILL”also became the group’s fourth overall album to place in Billboard 200’s Top 10. It has now followed “THE WORLD EP. 2: OUTLAW”(No. 2), “THE WORLD EP. 1: MOVEMENT”(No. 3), and “SPIN OFF: FROM THE WITNESS”(No. 7).
