Tracking Down Lord Vlindrel
Inside the Reflecting Chamber, you’ll encounter two pathways. The left path is quicker but filled with enemies, including Sir Roderic’s remains. Conversely, the right path is more perilous but allows for a stealthy approach, looping around to reach Lord Vlindrel.
No matter which path you choose, you will face the formidable Lord Vlindrel’s Wraith. Upon vanquishing this foe, the Sword of Crusador will drop. It’s essential to exercise caution; if Vlindrel perishes too close to the pool of water, the sword may fall in, complicating retrieval efforts.
Be Cautious with the Sword
Upon collecting the Sword of Crusador, it is crucial not to equip it immediately. The sword is cursed upon pick-up, and equipping it before purifying will result in Lord Vlindrel’s Curse. This affliction prevents magicka from regenerating and imposes a significant vulnerability (100%) to fire, frost, shock, poison, and magic. Even removing the sword won’t alleviate this condition—you must cleanse it first.
