On April 22, 2025, Kanye West took to X to express serious allegations against his ex-wife, Kim Kardashian, and her family, claiming they are obstructing his attempts to see their children. In particular, the rapper recounted an incident from January 26, 2020, which took place at Kylie Jenner’s residence following the tragic death of basketball legend Kobe Bryant. During this gathering, West alleged that explicit vintage Playboy magazines were left within reach of his children.
West emphasized his desire to assert his parental rights but acknowledged that he is still seeking a clear path to do so. He noted his struggle with the situation, sharing the following:
“I need a plan to exercise my rights with my kids. I figured out a lot of things, but I haven’t figured this out. The day Kobe died, we all went to Kylie’s house and in a stand next to the couch in the front living room were vintage Playboy magazines strategically placed within arms reach of every child in that house which was every half black baby.”
To provide context, Kanye West and Kim Kardashian were married from 2014 until their divorce in 2022 and have four children together: North, Saint, Chicago, and Psalm.
Following West’s post, a source close to Kim Kardashian shared insights with the Daily Mail on the same day, revealing that despite being in Los Angeles for several months, West had made inadequate attempts to engage with his children. The source indicated that he had only a brief encounter with his daughter, North, before leaving the city. They stated that West is welcome to see his children anytime he wishes, but Kardashian is intent on shielding them from potentially disruptive environments.
“Kanye has been in LA recently for a few months and didn’t ask to see the kids aside from North until a week before he was leaving again. Kanye can see the kids anytime he wants; there are no limitations, but Kim is very careful also to not put them in situations that are chaotic. Protecting her kids are first and foremost.”
Petition Emerges on Change.org Supporting Kanye West

As reported by the Hindustan Times on April 23, a Change.org petition has surfaced, advocating for West’s right to be involved in the lives of his four children. Though it is unclear whether West is behind this initiative, the petition calls for him to be allowed access to his children. To date, more than 1,700 individuals have added their signatures in support.
“Ye (fka Kanye West) has been restricted from being able to see and raise his children. As the father of his children, he has an inherent right to see and be a part of his children’s upbringing. When a father isn’t present in a home, they’re limited on their ability to protect their children.”
On the same day, West tweeted his distress, indicating he has not seen his 10-year-old son, Saint, at all this year:
“I HAVENT SEEN SAINT THIS YEAR.”
Additionally, on March 18, 2025, West released his visual album, *Bully*.
