In light of Trump’s disparaging comments aimed at Springsteen and fellow artist Taylor Swift, the American Federation of Musicians issued a firm statement, asserting, “We will not remain silent as two of our members are personally attacked by the President of the United States. Musicians possess the right to freedom of expression, and we stand united in support of them.”
