Chess Pieces Locations in Destiny 2’s Dreadnaught
1) Mausoleum
The Mausoleum houses several Chess pieces; locate them using the following guide:
- Begin by turning around from your spawn point to uncover the first piece behind you.
- Next, proceed right, drop down, and look within a gap to find another piece on your right.
- Exit outside and leap down to the group of blue rocks attached to the wall. A piece sits just above these rocks.
- Ascend back up, maintaining a leftward path to the back of this area where you’ll discover a set of orange clusters. The Chess piece is positioned on a ledge above these clusters.
- Make your way down to the blue boss arena filled with tentacles. You’ll find a Chess piece behind the main boss spawn by climbing a rocky ledge in the far back.
2) Trenchway
To locate Chess pieces in the Trenchway, follow these steps:
- Upon spawning, look to your right and drop down to claim the first piece.
- Climb back and follow the right-hand wall to find the second piece on the opposing wall.
- From your spawn, move to the left until you reach the last ledge, then drop down to collect the third piece beneath it.
- Venture outside to an area with white structures, leading to a cave where you can access Barrow-Dyad’s second Catalyst. The Chess piece is located beside the portal’s console.
- Continue towards the Ascendant Ogre arena to retrieve the final piece.
3) The Founts
For Chess pieces in The Founts, refer to the locations outlined below:
- Jump onto one of the Altars to your left as soon as you spawn for the first piece.
- Descend and navigate straight toward the undercave entrance. Keep going forward until you find a small entrance in the corner for the second piece.
- Make your way to the center of The Founts area, then proceed to the yellow room on your left. Look for an entrance at the ceiling for the third piece.
- Venture outside to the back of the arena adorned with blue tentacles; climb right onto a small ledge to find the fourth piece.
- From the sealed door, turn right and scale the tentacles on the wall.
- Return to the undercave entrance but take the left path this time. Inside, search immediately to your right for the sixth piece.
- Progress straight from the undercave entrance until spotting a gap in the wall with tufts of spikes. Enter through this gap for the final piece in The Founts.
4) Hall of Souls
Here are the Chess piece locations within the Hall of Souls:
- Immediately upon spawning, climb the pillar to your left and get to the ledge for the first piece.
- Continue to the left side and enter the room, where you’ll find a pillar in the center to climb for the second piece.
- Exit this room and look for a small cave entrance on the right. Pass through the corridors to reach the third piece.
- Exit the cave and move outside, where you can find a piece below the stairs by the large doorway.
- From the doorway situated above the fourth piece, head into the adjoining room to the left, followed by a smaller room where you’ll find a Chess piece to the right of the entrance.
- As you enter the central red room, glance left just before making your entrance to spot the sixth piece.
- Finally, navigate to the middle area where the Taken Blights reside. Use your Ghost to reveal hidden platforms, following them to locate the last piece adjacent to broad wires.
5) Hull Breach
In the Hull Breach, completing specific secrets will yield Chess pieces. Ensure you engage with all available quests and challenges to acquire them.
