Amazon Games has unveiled details regarding New World: Aeternum Season 8, titled “Season of the Divide,”which will kick off on Tuesday, May 13. This new season promises to captivate players with the introduction of a Hardcore Seasonal World, innovative PvP modes, a Barbershop for character customization, and a wealth of content to engage with.
Launched exclusively for PC in September 2021, the MMORPG New World: Aeternum expanded to PlayStation 5 and Xbox Series X|S on October 15, 2024. Like many popular MMOs, it has evolved significantly through numerous seasonal updates. The eighth season spotlights high-risk and high-reward gameplay, particularly with the Hardcore mode, which will cater to players seeking intense challenges while still being accessible to gamers of varying skill levels.

The Barbershop feature, accessible through every Stylemancer in Season 8, allows players to earn or purchase Barbershop Tokens to customize their avatars. Players receive one complimentary token via the Season Pass, which features both Free and Premium Tracks. The Free Track offers new Lich Gloves and Vampire Vestments Artifacts, tool skins, and helm skins, while the Premium Track unlocks a range of weapon and armor skins along with additional dye sets and Artifacts for 20,000 Marks of Fortune.
Continuing the tradition from Season 7, numerous seasonal events will populate Season 8, complemented by Weapon and Gathering XP Boost events.
