Wild Encounters
Starting from 10 AM local time on April 24, 2025, players can find Applin in the wild. However, unlike most Pokémon, Applin will not be immediately visible on the map. Instead, players must look for regular apples that will appear in various locations. Interacting with these apples may lead to an encounter with Applin.
In terms of combat capabilities, Applin boasts a maximum Combat Power (CP) of 612 under normal conditions. However, if the weather is Sunny/Clear or Windy, this maximum can increase to 663, enhancing its battle potential.
Mossy Lure Modules
Players can enhance their chances of encountering Applin by placing a Mossy Lure Module at a PokéStop. This action will cause special apples to spawn in the vicinity, which may lead to valuable encounters with this charming Pokémon. The CP of Applin obtained from these spawns will be consistent with those found in the wild.
Research Opportunities
During the Sweet Discoveries event, players can access Applin through a Paid Timed Research ticket. To secure this Pokémon, players must complete all associated tasks and claim their rewards prior to the event’s conclusion, which is set for 8 PM local time on April 29, 2025.

Trade Options
As a standard Pokémon, Applin can also be traded with other players. However, be mindful that trading with a low-level Friendship partner may incur higher Stardust costs, making it less efficient.
