Paul Feig Signs Multiyear First-Look Deal with Warner Bros. Television Group
Renowned filmmaker and television creator Paul Feig, known for his work on Bridesmaids and Freaks and Geeks, has secured a multiyear first-look deal with the Warner Bros. Television Group. This partnership represents his inaugural collaboration with the iconic studio and follows closely on the heels of a similar first-look film deal with Lionsgate.
Expanding Creative Horizons
Under this new agreement, Feig will spearhead the development of original content across multiple genres, encompassing live-action scripted series, unscripted formats, and animation. His production company, Feigco Entertainment, will be responsible for creating this diverse range of programming for various platforms, including HBO, Max, other streaming services, and broadcast networks.
No Financial Details Released
While the financial specifics of the partnership have not been made public, Feig’s enthusiasm for this new venture is palpable. He expressed his admiration for Warner Bros. Television Group, citing the studio’s impressive array of quality television offerings. “It’s an absolute honor for Laura Fischer and me to be joining forces with Clancy, Parul, and Adrienne to create new and innovative shows to entertain viewers in a time when we all desperately need some great escapist fare,” Feig stated.
Strong Relationship with Warner Bros.
The camaraderie between Feig and the Warner Bros. team is evident, with Feig already cultivating a first-name relationship with key executives, including Clancy Collins White, president of Creative Affairs, Parul Agrawal, senior vice president & head of Drama Development, and Adrienne Turner, executive vice president & head of Comedy Development.
A Robust Television Portfolio

His credits also extend to executive producing the musical comedy-drama series Zoey’s Extraordinary Playlist, which included an Emmy nomination for the Holiday special, Zoey’s Extraordinary Christmas.
Acclaimed Filmmaking Career
Feig’s talent transverses both television and film. He is best known for directing successful films such as Bridesmaids, The Heat, and the 2016 reboot of Ghostbusters. His latest film production, Another Simple Favor—the sequel to the 2018 hit A Simple Favor—premiered at the South by Southwest festival earlier this year and is set to launch on Amazon Prime Video on May 1. Furthermore, he is currently directing and producing The Housemaid, an adaptation of Freida McFadden’s bestselling novel, scheduled for a theatrical release on Christmas Day 2025.
