Kimmy Revamp: Launch Date and Background
The revamped version of Kimmy is set to make her debut in the Land of Dawn on April 23, 2025, according to Moonton’s update. Once a rebellious figure from Eruditio, Kimmy has perfected her Hoverjet Blaster and is now laid out to be a formidable shooter in MLBB.
The narrative accompanying Kimmy’s revamp enriches her character history, depicting her transformation from a novice in the Western Border Guards to an elite operative who has bravely re-entered the field following a dramatic rescue mission.
Kimmy’s new lore casts her as a resourceful inventor from a military family within the Moniyan Empire. Throughout her adventures with the Expeditionary Army, she has sought her father’s approval while leveraging her inventive skills. Now, equipped with advanced jetpack technology and weaponry, Kimmy emerges as a key player in the Eruditio scene.
Skill Enhancements in the Revamped Kimmy
The upcoming revamp introduces several impactful changes to Kimmy’s skills. First and foremost, her Basic Attack has been improved to deliver greater penetration and linear area-of-effect (AOE) damage targeted at enemies, making her a formidable presence in battle.
One noteworthy adjustment is her new Passive ability, named Aerial Dominance, which allows Kimmy to fire in multiple directions. However, she has lost the capability to lock onto specific targets.
A new mechanic called Starlium has been integrated into her Passive skill. Players will accumulate Starlium through successful hits with Basic Attacks and skills (excluding her first skill). Once this resource is filled, Kimmy’s Basic Attacks become upgraded, allowing her to strike multiple opponents within a designated area.
Additionally, Kimmy’s first skill, Anti-Grav Thruster, enables her to traverse over terrains and leap over obstacles while launching rockets at nearby foes to inflict damage effectively.
Her second skill, Starlium Beam, unleashes a concentrated burst of Starlium that momentarily immobilizes any enemies in its path and grants additional Starlium for successful hits on enemy heroes.
Finally, the revamped Kimmy introduces a new ultimate ability known as Traction Pulse. This skill provides remarkable initiation and crowd control. Kimmy charges a projectile towards her chosen target that explodes on impact or upon reaching maximum distance, creating a force field that impedes enemies within its vicinity. After a short duration, this field collapses, pulling affected enemies towards its center while dealing damage, with bonus Starlium granted for hitting enemy heroes.
With Kimmy’s revamp, she can now effectively gather Starlium by engaging jungle creeps, minion waves, or enemy heroes to enhance her Basic Attack. She can utilize her enhanced damage during the early game to catch adversaries off guard, immobilizing them with her second skill before dealing the finishing blow. In the late game, she can still stack Starlium efficiently, leveraging her tactical skills for crowd control before maximizing damage output with Basic Attacks. Her first skill additionally offers mobility for chasing down retreating enemies or making a strategic escape.
