On April 13, Nintendo unveiled insights into the Nintendo Switch Online App for the upcoming Switch 2. While the app retains familiar elements from its predecessor, enhancements tailored to the new system’s user interface and exclusive features are also prominently displayed.
This announcement arrives less than two months prior to the anticipated June 5 launch of the Switch 2. Building on the solid foundation of the original Switch lineup, the new console promises significant technical upgrades and exclusive content for Nintendo Switch Online Expansion Pack subscribers. Among the exciting features are the Nintendo Switch 2 editions of popular titles such as The Legend of Zelda: Breath of the Wild and Tears of the Kingdom, as well as an enticing GameCube app at launch, which will feature classics including F-Zero GX and The Wind Waker.
Dedicated to simplicity, the user interface of Switch 2 mirrors that of its predecessor. The official Nintendo Japanese site has showcased the initial look at the Switch Online app design for the Switch 2. As detailed by reports from NintendoLife, the app can be accessed by selecting the icon located at the bottom left of the main menu, adjacent to the GameChat icon. New users will be greeted by a Welcome screen upon entering the updated app.
