The Evolution of Eevee and Eeveelutions in Pokemon TCG

The evolution of Eevee in the Pokemon TCG began with the launch of the Jungle expansion in 1999, where Eevee debuted alongside its first evolutions—Vaporeon, Flareon, and Jolteon—across a total of 68 cards released over the years. Subsequent expansions have introduced other fan favorites, with Umbreon and Espeon emerging in the Neo Discovery set of 2001, followed by Glaceon and Leafeon in 2008’s Majestic Dawn expansion. The most recent addition, Sylveon, was released in 2017 as part of the XY Black Star Promos and has since appeared on 16 subsequent cards.
Since entering the market in 2022, China has begun to offer Pokemon TCG sets in simplified Chinese, aligning with global standards. Currently, the region is enjoying the Scarlet and Violet cycle, while Western fans can look forward to the upcoming Pokemon TCG set, Destined Rivals, launching on May 30. This new expansion will reintroduce the Trainer’s Pokemon mechanic and highlight the classic Team Rocket cards.
