Understanding Drop Rates in the Black Beacon Gacha System
Characters in Black Beacon are classified into two rarities: 5-star and 4-star, while weapons span three rarities: 5-star, 4-star, and 3-star. The drop rates associated with these items vary based on their rarity, with the 3-star items enjoying the highest rates, and 5-star items the lowest. Both character and weapon banners share the same drop rate for items across their respective categories.

The Black Beacon gacha system employs different pity systems tailored for character and weapon banners. Furthermore, the permanent and time-limited banners each feature their own pity mechanics. Here’s a breakdown of these systems:
Pity Mechanics for Permanent Character Banners
For the permanent character banner, which features standard characters, players utilize Lost Time Key currency. A guaranteed 4-star or 5-star character is available at least every ten attempts. The soft pity starts after 40 pulls; if a player doesn’t receive a 5-star by this point, the odds of obtaining one double for every five additional pulls. The hard pity guarantees a 5-star on the 70th pull if one hasn’t been acquired before this cutoff.
Pity Mechanics for Permanent Weapon Banners
The permanent weapon banner operates similarly, requiring Lost Time Keys. Here, players can also expect at least one 4-star or 5-star weapon for every ten attempts. The soft pity mechanism begins at 25 pulls, with increased odds for a 5-star after this threshold. On the 50th pull, players are guaranteed to acquire a 5-star weapon if they haven’t secured one already.
Pity Mechanics for Time-Limited Character Banners
Time-limited character banners offer at least one 4-star or 5-star character every ten attempts, mirroring the permanent character banner’s structure. They share a soft pity threshold of 40 pulls, and hard pity at 70 pulls. However, these banners present a boosted drop rate for new characters, increasing the chances significantly at the hard pity. Players have a 70% chance of acquiring the featured character at this stage and must utilize Time-Seeking Keys for pulls.
Pity Mechanics for Time-Limited Weapon Banners
The time-limited weapon banner also ensures at least one 4-star or 5-star weapon every ten attempts, following the same soft and hard pity mechanics as the permanent variant. Players are guaranteed to receive the new weapon upon reaching hard pity at the 50th pull, which necessitates the use of Time-Seeking Keys when obtaining a 4-star weapon.
Pity Mechanics for Special Event Character Banners
The special event character banner adheres to the same pity structure as the other banners yet is distinguished by its inclusion of a specific existing 5-star character at an improved drop rate. Players can expect to acquire this featured character when drawing a 5-star and will similarly require Time-Seeking Keys for participation in this banner.

Permanent Banners
1) Mortal Wanderings
This banner remains permanently accessible and features a selection of four unique characters: Ereshan, Logos, Viola, Nanna, and Li Chi. After completing the initial 30 summons, players may choose one character to obtain directly.
2) Divine Forge
This banner is also permanently featured, allowing players to select a weapon from the pool of 5-star options to enhance their arsenal.
Time-Limited Banners
1) Holy Oath Blossoms
Available until May 4, 2025, this banner showcases the latest 5-star character, Florence, with an enhanced drop rate, along with three 4-star characters—Hephae, Enki, and Wushi—similarly benefitting from increased drop rates.
2) Under the Lattice Window
This banner will also be available until May 4, 2025, featuring the new 5-star weapon, Under the Lattice Window, at a boosted drop rate.
3) Ancient Covenant
This special event character banner is available until May 4, 2025, and focuses on the 5-star character, Logos, offering players a chance to obtain this character at an increased drop rate.
