Amazon Prime Video Ventures into Crouching Tiger, Hidden Dragon Series

Amazon Prime Video is set to introduce a new television adaptation inspired by the renowned story of Crouching Tiger, Hidden Dragon.

The streaming platform, owned by Amazon, is collaborating with Sony Pictures Television to create a series based on the Crane-Iron novels by author Wang Dulu. These beloved books originally provided the foundation for Ang Lee’s acclaimed film, which won multiple Academy Awards in 2000.

Creative Leadership

Jason Ning, known for his work on Lucifer and The Brother Sun, is not only penning the series but will also serve as an executive producer. Joining him in this endeavor is Ron Moore, recognized for his contributions to Outlander and Battlestar Galactica. Both Ning and Moore have established overall deals with Sony, who produced the original Crouching Tiger, Hidden Dragon film and holds the rights to the Crane-Iron literary works.
