On April 4, 2025, during an exclusive interview with Variety, American actress Emma Myers shared a memorable Polaroid snapshot taken with the K-pop sensation SEVENTEEN. The picture was captured inside one of the band’s rehearsal studios in South Korea, highlighting her deep admiration for the group.
“This was taken in Korea. That is a picture of me and my favorite K-pop group, in one of the dance practice rooms. Very crazy experience for me, being such a fan of theirs,” remarked the Minecraft Movie star.
Following the interview, fans flocked to X (formerly known as Twitter) to express their excitement over Myers’ status as a CARAT—the official fandom name for SEVENTEEN—which she has proudly identified with since 2017.
“Loyal CARAT since day one!,”commented one enthusiastic user.

Emma’s interactions with SEVENTEEN have garnered widespread attention from global audiences, enhancing her reputation as a dedicated fan.
“Emma, you deserve to meet them all, gal🥹 she is honestly the cutest. I would also try not to freak out😂 but once again, Emma Myers is doing Pledis’ job in promoting SVT in the West!”a fan remarked.
“It’s so cute to see her fangirling, the genuine admiration she has for SEVENTEEN🥹,”another viewer noted.
“EMMA!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! I love her so much!!! Our CARAT President!!!,”contributed another excited user.
Some netizens humorously pointed out that Myers appears to be promoting SEVENTEEN even more than their own agency, Pledis Entertainment.
“I’ve seen her promoting SVT more than Pledis, lol. And I’m one of the people who influenced her to stan SEVENTEEN,”a user mentioned.
“The sweetest CARAT President 🥹 She’s doing a much better job promoting SVT than their own agency,”remarked another fan.
“She is promoting SEVENTEEN in the West better than Pledis😄😄😄😄. I remember this photo was taken in December 2023, just days before the 2023 AAA practice. It took 1 year and 3 months for this behind-the-scenes insight to emerge😍😍,”another user added.
Emma Myers Continues to Celebrate SEVENTEEN through Media Appearances
Myers’ admiration for SEVENTEEN has been evident for some time. During her appearance on The Tonight Show Starring Jimmy Fallon in January 2023, she enthusiastically expressed her fandom and even explained the meaning behind the group’s name. Her appreciation deepened in December 2023 when she had the opportunity to meet members of SEVENTEEN directly.
On that occasion, she shared images alongside the unit BSS, featuring members Seungkwan, Hoshi, and DK, with her and her sister mimicking the beloved “Horanghae”hand gesture popularized by Hoshi. Shortly after, she also posted photos with a majority of SEVENTEEN’s lineup except for Jeonghan, standing center stage in a casual setting. The accompanying caption, “Say the name,” referred to a well-known expression linked to the group’s signature intro, and included the same image showcased in her Variety interview.
SEVENTEEN Achieves Triple Platinum Status for Japanese Single
In recent news, SEVENTEEN’s fourth Japanese single, Shohikigen, has officially received triple platinum status, as announced by Pledis Entertainment on April 9, following a statement by the Recording Industry Association of Japan (RIAJ), which confirmed that shipments surpassed 750,000 units by March 2025.
The single was released on November 27, 2024, and has continued to gain remarkable momentum, making it the group’s first Japanese single to reach this prestigious milestone.
This achievement marks SEVENTEEN’s fifth overall release to earn triple platinum status in the Japanese market, further solidifying their presence. The album debuted at No. 1 on Oricon’s daily chart and subsequently led weekly and combined rankings.

In January 2025, the single reclaimed its top position on the daily chart. SEVENTEEN will further engage with fans during meet-and-greet events in Japan on April 24, 26, and 27 at the Kyocera Dome in Osaka, followed by two additional events on May 10 and 11 at the Saitama Super Arena.
On an international level, SEVENTEEN made history as the first K-pop act to headline the Tecate Pa’l Norte 2025 festival, marking a significant milestone during their debut at this major Latin American music event.
