Singer & actress Kang Hye-won showed off her mature visual in the new drama “Boyhood”
On November 20th, the press conference for Coupang Play’s drama “Boyhood” was held at Chosun Palace in Yeoksam-dong, Gangnam-gu, Seoul. Im Si-wan, Lee Sun-bin, Lee Si-woo and Kang Hye-won attended the event.
Set in 1989 in South Chungcheong Province, “Boyhood” tells a story about Byeong-tae, known as the weakest in Onyang High School whose goal is to live a life without getting hit, becoming the strongest in Buyeo High School.

In this drama, Kang Hye-won takes on the role of Kang Seon-hwa, the most beautiful girl at Buyeo Girls’ High School in the drama.
Kang Seon-hwa is nicknamed Sophie Marceau. Regarding her character, she shared, “Sophie Marceau is an icon of pure beauty in the 80s” , adding “I paid much attention to my appearance, especially the outfits. The stylists helped me a lot. I had many discussions with the director. I made a lot of effort in portraying Seon-hwa because this should be a character who can easily gain good impressions from viewers.”
In fact, Kang Hye-won was famous for her feminine and elegant visual during her activities with the girl group IZ*ONE.
