Tracks II ventures into uncharted territory by presenting seven distinct albums rather than just a collection of singles or rarities. This impressive lineup includes:
- LA Garage Sessions ’83
- Streets of Philadelphia Sessions
- Faithless
- Somewhere North of Nashville
- Inyo
- Twilight Hours
- Perfect World
Altogether, this anthology boasts 83 previously unreleased tracks, with 74 songs making their debut in any form. Notably, the LA Garage Sessions is viewed as a crucial bridge between iconic albums Nebraska and Born in the U.S.A.. On the other hand, the Streets of Philadelphia Sessions further explores the synth-heavy sound that characterized the hit song for the 1993 film Philadelphia.
The album Faithless consists of music created for a project that ultimately never came to fruition, keeping the material in limbo until now. Meanwhile, Somewhere North of Nashville showcases Springsteen’s foray into country music with its pedal steel and twang, while Inyo incorporates a vibrant Mexican influence into the mix. The album Twilight Hours features a captivating blend of noir and orchestral elements, while Perfect World aims for an expansive arena rock sound.
The first single from this collection, “Rain in the River,”demonstrates that signature grandiose style fans have come to expect from the E Street Band, further heightening anticipation for the box set’s release.
