Understanding Match Tax

The Ranked Mode features a unique system called Match Tax, designed to curb the potential for endless point farming. At the end of each match, players lose a percentage of their Points; notably, the higher their rank, the greater the deduction. Importantly, these deductions do not affect a player’s rank.
The calculation for Points deducted at the conclusion of a match is determined by the following formula:
f(a,b) = -25 (10 + 4a + b + ab)
In this equation, ‘a’ represents the total number of players in the match, while ‘b’ signifies the player’s current rank. Therefore, participants in smaller matches or at lower ranks will experience reduced Point losses.
