Attention: This article includes spoilers for the Solo Leveling and Solo Leveling: Ragnarok novels and manga.
The first season of Solo Leveling: Ragnarok has recently concluded, leaving fans with a mixture of excitement and disappointment, particularly as its conclusion coincided with Solo Leveling’s second season. Nevertheless, there’s plenty to anticipate in the upcoming chapters.
Long-Awaited Character Reveal

This week’s release of Chapter 47 brought significant developments, confirming fan theories that Sung Suho is charting a path distinct from Jinwoo, now opting for an “irregular”class, which denotes a hidden skill choice in the previous installment.
The chapter sets the groundwork for an exciting new phase in the series, particularly with the closing pages hinting at a figure resembling Cha Hae-In, who is also Suho’s mother. This raises expectations for Season 2, where fans will likely uncover the fate of this crucial character.
While Jinwoo’s adventures have taken him into space to battle the Itarim, the story surrounding Cha Hae-In has remained elusive since her departure when Suho was still a child.
Comparing the Manhwa and Novel of Solo Leveling Ragnarok

Although Solo Leveling: Ragnarok is rooted in the original novel, it pursues a markedly different narrative trajectory. Notably, the conflict between Suho and his novel counterpart emphasizes the manhwa’s unique storyline, leaving readers of the original text in suspense about forthcoming events.
While key plot points from the novel are retained, such as Cha Hae-In’s narrative thread involving ice elves, the visualization of these arcs may differ significantly, as evidenced by her potential location in an icy setting, paralleling her fate in the novel.
Expected Release for Season 2

The series is currently on an indefinite hiatus, allowing the author a much-needed break and time to prepare for the storyline ahead. A prior one-week hiatus was announced due to health issues, suggesting that the creator may still be recovering.
Official announcements indicate that the break is expected to last “some time,”leaving fans uncertain whether it will be days, weeks, or months. Attendees should keep an eye on the official KakaoPage and Solo Leveling social media accounts for updates.
Season 2 will commence with Chapter 48, while the English serialization is currently lagging at Chapter 37. Tapas has not confirmed any changes to their release schedule, meaning it could still take a while for the English version to catch up.
The Solo Leveling Ragnarok manhwa and novel can be found on KakaoPage (in Korean) and Tapas (in English).
